hi, I was wondering why we can't see out own quicknotes when we post them? is there a particular reason, or just ...so it won't clutter up the site or something?

Hi ALison, My guess is it's probably not a feature 'cuz it'd clutter up the site more. Or rather, the top of the page. Plus, I guess people just don't wanna see their own quicknotes. Lol. I dunno ... Caitlin

you can see your own quick notes, but this is a premium feature, so you need to pay for it.

Wouldn't it be better if it was more like an IM thing? I mean, the conversation could open in a new window and then you can still chat and do something else on the Zone at the same time. Just an idea, since I seem to be full of those today. *smiles*

Yeah that would be cool. My cousin in the university level had a class where one of their assignments was making their own instant messenger device. Lots of hard work and time put into the project. She said it was alot of fun. That would be kind of cool for here. As the page wouldn't have to refresh when you send or receive a QN.

That'd be nifty. But if they did do that, I think there shoudl be a classic view, where it's at the top of the page, and a normal view, where it's in a separate window. So like, the new view. Lol. And can you really see your own quicknotes in Premium? This shoudl be added to teh features list, then, I daresay? Caitlin

Well you could read your old quicknotes in premium, but it's only because they're in the history with the other ones. Not sure how far we'll take the Quicknote thing. We could do another window, but then you should try text chat in Ventrilo or something similar.

Yeah. I'm not really quite sure if I'd like quicknotes in another window. But it might be nice to see your own quicknotes in the normal quicknote section. I realize some people might find that annoying, but there could be a toggle in settings that says "View Your Own Quicknotes?" and then a combo box with "Yes," and"No." Then you can see your quicknotes and see if you're making sense. Or something. Caitlin

yeah i agree, i love the quick note feature, but it would be useful to see your own. i keep getting error messages saying mine aren't posting because they are blank, when i know they aren't, and they send anyway, as people reply to them, but i still think it would be useful and it should be in the standard membership thing, as some of us can't afford premium, even though we'd like too.

That error message comes up when you post on a bulletine board and then you send a quicknote. It seems to think you're posting on the board and gives you that error. That's what it seems to be to me. As for quicknotes that I can see that are mine, it wouldn't be such a bad idea.
